6th-7th Grade Program
Patriot's middle school program is District 49's newest educational opportunity. Classes will begin in the fall of 2025.
Our 6th-7th grade program focuses on a successful transition from Elementary School to Middle School, with small class sizes, few transitions between teachers, and an equal focus on academic, social and organizational skills. In a separate building on campus, students will experience traditional coursework in addition to elective options such as Art, PE, student-driven clubs, and career based learning. Students will follow a flexible schedule that equally prioritizes academics, community experiences, and skill development.
- Independent Program: housed in a separate space (modular) from the high school, unique schedule
- Firm Foundation: four core classes plus explicit instruction on executive functioning skills, social skills training, and elective options
- Transition (elementary to middle) Focus: small class size, 2-3 teacher transitions, looping homeroom
- Strong Parent Involvement: parent classes, required parent-teacher conferences, community events
- High Structure, High Support: established routines, built-in tutoring, clear expectations, consistency across the campus, accountability
- Flexible Schedule: built-in clubs, movement breaks, field trips, community experiences
Enrollment
Patriot is a choice enrollment school. Students are chosen through the combined input of students, parents, counselors, and administration at Patriot. They are admitted on a needs and numbers basis, with the final decision coming from Patriot.
