About Patriot

Patriot High School is an Alternative Education Campus (AEC) that offers a diverse, supportive, and respectful learning environment that combines creativity and commitment from students, teachers, and parents.  Patriot High School is a choice enrollment school that focuses on offering a "fresh start" to students who still wish to earn a diploma but want to do so in a new environment than their previous school.  Students are chosen through the combined input of parents, the referring school, and the teachers and administration at Patriot High School. They are interviewed and admitted on a case-by-case basis, with the final enrollment approval coming from Patriot High School.  Our enrollment application and additional information can be found here:  PHS Application

We currently have 11 teachers at PHS that teach a variety of subjects including the core (English, Math, Social Studies, and Science), PE/Health, Culinary Arts, Construction Trades, and special education support.  Homework is assigned only as needed, and class sizes are rarely larger than 15 students.  There are no lockers on our campus.  Classes are taught in-person (we are NOT an online school) but there are credit recovery options for all students through an online platform that allows for acceleration and early credit completion.  Students can also receive elective credit for work-based learning experiences and internships.  We believe in addressing the full spectrum of student needs and offer students a variety of services to help them be successful in high school, including:  teaching social-emotional skills, utilizing a restorative approach to conflict resolution and disciplinary issues, a unique "Flex Friday" format where students are scheduled for additional tutoring, skills acquisition classes, career guest speakers & field trips, and special clubs/activities.
